Some of you have asked me to assign a writing topic for this Christmas break. In Unit 2 the next point is place description. On pages 26-28 there are three texts describing very different destinations plus follow-up vocabulary exercises.
I recommend reading them and doing the exercises before you attempt the writing task at the end of page 28 (activity 8). For more vocab input and a model of how to describe a place in a lively way, look at this list of descriptive adjectives and read a description of pre-Olympic Beijing.
When you write your description, e-mail it to me for corrections.
